The Hamilton County 2030 Talent InSight report was developed to provide a comprehensive analysis of Hamilton County, Indiana’s workforce and population trends, extending projections to the year 2030. Civitas Strategies, in collaboration with Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM), contributed to this report by analyzing workforce data, population dynamics, and economic trends to identify workforce misalignments and potential growth opportunities. As one of the fastest-growing counties in Indiana and the Midwest, Hamilton County faces unique challenges tied to its rapid expansion. This report aims to align residential skill profiles with employer needs and address key factors such as homebuilding and infrastructure to guide sustainable growth. The goal is to provide local leaders and community organizations with a toolkit for strategic decision-making, enhancing the well-being of residents and businesses.
03 Results
The report projects that Hamilton County’s population will exceed 400,000 by 2030, with over 200,000 jobs, supported by $5 billion in economic investment across its largest communities within the next three years. Civitas Strategies and KSM provided actionable insights through city-specific analyses, helping leaders better understand workforce dynamics and enabling tailored strategies for economic development. Invest Hamilton County will update the data annually, ensuring ongoing relevance as conditions evolve. By addressing workforce misalignments and offering strategic recommendations, the 2030 Talent InSight report equips stakeholders to sustain Hamilton County’s growth trajectory, improve infrastructure, and foster continued economic prosperity.
